Female Figures
These female figures were inspired by Gaston Lachaise’s Standing Woman and the Winged Victory. They take strong and proud poses, emerging from their pedestals.
Cyclist
This clay sculpture was created during live studio sessions, and shows the execution of musculature, proportion and scale.
Reclining Female
This female figure was created from live modeling sessions, and built up from a slab. The sculpture shows drapery execution, and fine detailing in the face and hair.
Terra Sig Series
Each vessel in this series has an unfinished lip, inspired by ancient Greek and Roman pottery. The irregular blooms and variegated surface was generated by the Terra Sigillata slip applied before firing.
